Antonio Celotto

Filmmaker, screenwriter, and musician

About

Antonio is the co-founder of Shifting Tides Productions and the co-writer of an upcoming psychological horror/exorcism film set in Italy, currently in development with an American production company. His work blends myth, music, and cultural memory into cinematic narratives that feel both grounded and hauntingly lyrical.

Antonio trained in Paris at the Ecole Internationale de Réalisation Audiovisuelle. He has written three original screenplays and directed more than 20 short-format documentaries across five continents, garnering him millions of views on single films. His visual storytelling explores unique cultural spaces—from Amazonian rituals and iboga ceremonies in Gabon to Japanese geisha traditions and elite Russian dollmakers—always with a deep sensitivity to cross-cultural nuance.

Antonio has served as First Assistant Director on several international feature films and is also a classically trained guitarist with a background in jazz and composition. His award-winning novel Terra Bruciata imagines the real-life consequences of a modern-day eruption of Mount Vesuvius, merging scientific research with speculative fiction.

He lives in Oxford with his wife and daughter, where he continues to create bold, internationally-minded stories for film and television.
