Julie Grace
Screenwriter, author, educator

About
Julie is a writer and development producer currently commissioned on two feature screenplays: a psychological horror/exorcism film set in Italy, and a dark comedy exploring the emotional chaos and quiet absurdities of modern motherhood. She thrives in the dark comedy space, crafting stories that balance humor, heart, and sharp cultural critique.
Julie is also the writer and development producer of Shaping Waves, a music-centered documentary series currently in production with Shifting Tides Productions, which she co-founded. Her preschool animated series Charlotte the Capybara’s Big, Little World is currently in development and gaining industry interest for its emotionally intelligent approach to early childhood storytelling.
She holds an MA in Literature & Medicine from King’s College London and is a Truman Scholar. Her writing has appeared in Best American Essays and Best New British & Irish Poets, and she has taught literature and writing at Saint Clare’s College, Oxford. With experience across scripted, nonfiction, and children’s media, Julie tells stories that challenge, connect, and linger long after the credits roll.
She lives in Oxford with her husband and their daughter.
